Terms of Service

Draft for the private beta. This document has not yet been reviewed by a lawyer and will be reviewed before public launch.

1. What MineMatch is

MineMatch is a gaming and social connection platform that helps Minecraft players find people to play with. It is not a dating service and must not be used to seek romantic or sexual relationships. MineMatch is not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft.

2. Eligibility and age

You must be at least the minimum age shown at signup to use MineMatch. You confirm the age you enter is true. MineMatch does not verify identity or age, and a profile, badge or label never means a person has been verified as who they say they are. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you should have a parent or guardian's permission and review these Terms with them.

3. Your account

You are responsible for your account and everything done with it. Keep your sign-in details private. One person, one account. Usernames are first-come-first-served and permanent once claimed.

4. Your content

You own what you post (photos, bio, prompts, messages). You give MineMatch a limited licence to store and display it to other members so the service works. Only post content you have the right to share. Do not post sexual content, nudity, gore, hate symbols, or anyone else's personal information.

5. Prohibited behaviour

Harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech or discrimination
Doxxing or sharing anyone's private information
Sexual content or advances, especially involving or directed at minors
Scams, phishing, selling accounts, spam or advertising
Impersonation or fake profiles
Attempting to bypass security, scrape data or access other accounts

Use Report and Block on any profile or chat. Blocking is immediate. Reports are reviewed by moderators.

6. Safety

MineMatch cannot guarantee the behaviour of other users and cannot guarantee your safety. Be careful about sharing personal details and never send money. If you are in danger, contact local emergency services.

7. Suspension and termination

We may limit, suspend or remove accounts or content that break these Terms. You may delete your account at any time in Settings.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

MineMatch is a beta service provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, MineMatch is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the conduct of other users. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to cover claims arising from your misuse of MineMatch or your breach of these Terms.

11. Disputes and governing law

The governing law and venue for disputes will be specified after legal review. No arbitration or class-action waiver applies in this version.

12. Changes to these Terms

When these Terms change, we publish a new version. You will be asked to accept it before continuing to use MineMatch. Earlier versions and your past acceptances are kept.

13. Other terms

If part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and MineMatch about the service.
